I was notified yesterday that my manuscript, The Law Of The Splintered Paddle, is a finalist for the Claymore Award to be given at Killer Nashville on August 25.

- I write the Val Lyon private eye series. Val appears in one novel, Pilikia Is My Business, recently re-released by Ilium Books, and seven short stories. The short stories are now available in one collection, Game Face When not writing, I spend a lot of time on the road, training for marathons, that is. I've run 19 marathons so far and have begun doing triathlons.
