Hurricane Ike

It's coming. A&M is closed. Galveston and Houston are being evacuated. The storm track looks like it's heading east of us, which means we'll be on the clean side of the storm. Winds are expected to be 40-60 mph with the worst of it being about 22 hours from now. Mary Fran and I have put everything away that could possibly blow, so now we just wait. We'll probably spend most of our time at the EOC answering phones and whatever else needs to be done. The good news is that so far everything seems to be orderly, no clogged highways. We can only hope everybody evacuates safely.
