I tried to find an empsty spot of sand on busy Waikiki in 2006, and after finding it, I lay on my stomach and didn't move for a couple of hours, except to turn over a couple of times. The waves were licking at my feet and the sun was warm but not hot. That was all I needed for the perfect beach. Don't know if I was in front of the Hilton or not, but it was close.

Mine, too, when the Aikahi sewage wasn't washing up onto it. Though it does lack tame fish awaiting for one to drop frozen vegetables.
