Update on Fresh Kills panel
Brazos Writers and Barnes and Noble had our Texas Mystery Month event yesterday. The event was a panel we called "Fresh Kills" because we featured three authors with new books. Jim Hime (Where Armadillos Go to Die), Susan Rogers Cooper (Shotgun Wedding), and Stephen Banister (The St. Charles House) comprised the panel. They answered questions and read from their books. About thirty people turned out for the event. Unfortunately, B&N wasn't able to get Susan's books, despite assuring me they would have them. I was embarrassed by that. Susan was a real trooper, however, and talked about her books and answered questions like a real pro.

Susan is a sweetheart. I have her Shotgun Wedding and it's a good read. Hope those who wanted it, but couldn't get it will ask for it.

Greetings from Falls County,
Helene and I enjoyed getting together with you folks last Saturday. Good time had by all.
Glad the panel went well, except for Susan's books, of course. Did you sell lots of books?
